The first member of the Askins Family to appear in America was John Askins, Who Immigrated from England to Maryland in 1658. I first attained this information from research by John W. Lawrence For C.B. Askins.
Many members of the Askins family have contributed information sense I always appreciate people’s input and suggestions on the research in this site I have made it possible for people to enter information on their immediate family are any research they’ve done. Our genealogy site was built on software called “The next generation” that at the present date it is the only genealogy software I use.
Much of the recent information on the early generations of the Askins family have been obtained from the Maryland State archives. My line of the Askins settled in South Carolina after the Revolutionary war from that point on there’s been a lot of research done and a lot of good information has been attained.
